Forecasters Turn to Array of Technology to Fight Floodwaters (Video)
Published on by Water Network Research, Official research team of The Water Network in Technology
An arsenal of new technology is being put to the test fighting floods this year, as rivers swell and cause flooding across the central United States.
Drones, supercomputers and sonar that scan deep under water are helping to maintain flood control projects and predict just where rivers will roar out of their banks.

The idea of having a Flood Mitigation program is to have IN PLACE "FLOOD CONTROL and MITIGATION technology before it rains/floods. e.g. you can study the sun to see how hot it is. or just wear a hat and use sun blocker at the beach. Same for flooding. ID flood prone/flood plain areas. make draining ditches or canals. For long term control plant trees near the river. Most people forget a hearty tree can use as littlie one gallon of water a month OR drink/respire up to 300 gals/day. Calculate the amount of flood water and plant trees accordingly.
