An Eye on Global Water Resilience
From a Miami Perspective
While climate change is a global issue, it’s felt on a local scale in Miami-Dade County. Since 1994, the region has experienced 4 inches of sea rise; 2 to 6 additional inches are expected by 2030, and up to 14 inches are expected by 2060. Therefore, the area finds itself at the front line of adaptation while actions are being taken by local officials, universities, and organizations to create a sound foundation of planning, policy, and public awareness.

  1. Still using fiction to bolster claims on natural cyclical events I see. There has not been a single inch rise in the entire world.  The few areas that appear to have higher shore levels are part of the tectonic plates being lifted up in some areas and lowered in others. Florida is scheduled to be under water by plate displacement before 2060.  We shall see how accurate the universities are.
